Hi Folks! Since Edward is a big fan of Disney Cars, I’ve layout a memory game for him. Instead of buying a set for 199 in Toy Kingdom, I chose his favorite characters and printed out our own set. We’ve pasted on a cereal box and we are ready to go!

You can customize your own by using the file below. I got the pictures from Takara Tomy

Edward is OC

At 2+ years, I can’t help but be amazed how a baby develops OCD. At this early stage I can confirm he is super OC.

1. Whenever his hands gets dirty, he wants to have it clean asap.
2. In doing art, his paper needs to be aligned with the table.
3. He likes sorting things according to their color.
4. He likes to follow a certain pattern like going to Yap house, he would go to the PS room, downstairs and his aunt’s bedroom to play the rest of the time.
5. He doesn’t like to eat food in variety. One at a time. Example… Misua… When he switch to eat chicken, he won’t go back to eat Misua again. Very much like PQ.
6. When you tell a story, you should stick to the details, if you change it, he would protest
7. Whenever his pillowcase is distorted, he gets fuzzy.
8. In playing Lego, he has a specific pattern of how things should be made. Same goes with blocks. If you deviate, we would redo it.
9. Even in Play-Dohs, the first thing he do would stick and everytime he plays it, it’s always the same.

I found it fascinating how he likes things in order. Being chaotic myself, I can’t relate to his stress when things are not done properly.

8 Cuts

Because it’s compensation day, we have decided to try this restaurant. The place is located in Serendra and the walk going there was super worth it.

The ambiance is pretty casual, just right for a burger place…

I had a few choices to begin with but I chose Piggy in the end. Probably, the most sinful meal I ever had in my life and it was so worth it. You can make your own burger too.

We tried the onion rings as well as it was raving with reviews in food blogs and yup… They were right! It was super good. For 65 Php. This is really worth it. It has a barbecue flavor in it. It was crunchy and super flavorful. Addicting even… Haha. And no, it’s not the camera angle making the rings big. It was really big!!!

Overall, my team and I enjoyed the meal. The meat is juicy and so flavorful. The only problem is how to eat it without being messy. Setting aside poshness, it’s probably the best burger I have ever tasted.

Growing Up

While playing with Edward, he suddenly got into his bed and asked for milk. “Jia Jia Mik”… I asked him if he would like to go with me to the other room to sleep. He said “no”. I asked him if he would like to sleep alone in his bed. He said “yes”. I even clarified that mama and papa would be in the other room while he stays on his. He nodded his head. Shocked!!! I asked him again if he’ll leave me in the other room while he stays in his bed to sleep. He nodded again!!! Ohno, my baby boy is growing too fast… too soon…

I asked him again how will mama hug him if he stays there… I tried to hug him and he said NO. I asked how will mama sleep if I can’t hug him. Can I hug you now? Still NO! Ohno… I thought I have a few more years before boys doesn’t want hugs. Huhuhu. I’m not yet ready…

Luckily after finishing his milk, he went with me to sleep on the other room. I’ll grab all opportunities to make memories. I suddenly feel like time is running out.

One early morning, he suddenly woke up. Sleepily walked over to his room. Went to his bed and just slept there. Huhuhu. He’s really growing up fast now. (knock on wood) But no matter happens, you’ll always be my baby and I love you…

Oh my God! Oh my God! Monster Jam is coming to Manila. I think I got more excited than expected. Edward and I love Monster Jam. We watch it on TV and youtube. Edward even have various toy cars…

When I saw Grave Digger is coming over… I started bugging husband for us to go. When he said yes, I started scrambling to get tickets.

Below is the price from SM Tickets. Basically, 3 shows. June 20 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. June 21 at 2 PM.

If you are looking for cheaper tickets, upper box regular is being sold in Metrodeal and Groupon (Beeconomic) for 900 Php. I chose Groupon over Metrodeal because the pick up place is in Makati and Pasig while Metrodeal pick up place is in Pasig.

Since we are sitting quite far… I’ve opted to purchase access to the Pit Party, so that we can see the trucks and drivers upclose. For an additional 500 Php. You can only avail of the Pit Party if you have a valid ticket for the 2 PM show.

Monster Jam!!! We are so ready for you!!!

The friday crew had decided to try something posh for the Friday Lunchout. Va Bene is located in BGC Central, near the Cinema.

The waiter said one order is good for a person but since the serving size is big, 1-2 person can share. Upon hearing that, we’ve decided to order 4 dishes for 6 people. Big mistake! It was not enough!!! End of the meal, most of us were hungry.

Free appetizer as we wait for our food.

The food is really good! Although, a bit expensive. It was worth the try. The pasta has the right texture and it was so flavorful. The pizza hmmm… It’s like a homemade pizza on pan bread. And for 288 Php, it was pretty small.

I would come back for the pasta, but not when I am hungry. For I feel it’s not enough.

To commemorate our first meal here, thanks Kuya for the artistic shot. :p

With no plans whatsoever, we have decided to go to Fisher Mall and after hauling toys, we’ve decided to look for a place to eat.

We saw this restaurant and browsed through the menu, it was a go because they have ramen. Edward won’t go hungry.

While browsing through the menu, husband had a sudden urge to try Yakiniku. They have 3 variants. Regular is at 1,000 Php for 1-3 people. Premium at 1,600 Php and Special at 2,200 Php. The difference is Special has Wagyu beef while premium mainly has US beef.

We ordered the 1,600 Plate and here’s what it looks like.

The food and service is really good. We asked the staff to help us cook. Don’t expect much flavoring, this is grilled meat at the core but still, the taste is enjoyable.

What I don’t grasp is the identity of the restaurant, it seems to be serving Japanese cuisine but they have Korean food as well. I’m not complaining… The bibimbap tasted splendid.
image

They are serving noodles in half sizes. 250 Php for half size Tonkatsu Ramen and 350 Php for full size.
image

Would I come back? Probably for special occasions. The food is good but it’s a bit pricey. If you like yakiniku then it’s worth a try. And for the price of the meat, I wish they can throw in the leaves for free instead of charging 120 Php per order.
