Kurosaki_kun_no_Iinari_ni_Nante_Naranai.jpg

The movie was recommended by my sister. And before watching I saw 2 episodes with the same name. Turns out, the 2 episodes are to be watched before the movie.

The plot of the story is… Akabane Yu wants to change her life. She doesn’t want to be the laughing stock anymore. Her parents move away and she is forced to stay in a dorm where it was ruled by the Dorm Leader, also known as the White Prince (Takumi Shirakawa). And vice Dorm Leader, also known as the Black Demon (Haruto Kurosaki). Yu defied Haruto, in turn he kissed her and made her his slave. Ordering her to do things like cleaning the dorm and the like. Yu is fascinated with the White Prince, who is very gentle towards her and pretended to be her boyfriend. Haruto is interested in Yu and saves her in various occasion.

Story is simple enough to digest, I enjoyed the episodes and the movie. What’s lacking is the build up of the love story. Somehow, the story is shortened too much. And there was a time wherein I wondered, when did they start loving each other?

I tried to read the manga after watching. And I got to understand the story better. How I wish that the Live Action had more episodes, then we would be able to enjoy more of the storyline. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed it. The manga is not yet complete as of now, so I don’t know how the story would end. Hopefully, it would still be as interesting as the start. So far, I love the scenes where Haruto saves Yu in the manga. Haruto is 格好いい.

Red Riding Hood

[tweetmeme source=”ibethyap”] As the credits started rolling, I’ve realized that I regret watching this movie in the theater. To simplify my disappointment, I feel that this movie lacks value, over-suspense and over-rated plot.

The plot circles around a tribe that believes in wolves. A wolf that would take their best livestock every full moon. After 20 peaceful years, the wolf attacked a person. The sister of the main character. And the tribe is out to hunt the wolf.

The movie lacks in character building, at the end of the movie, I can’t really decide if I want Peter or Henry more. Because the flow of the story was focused more on the building of suspense on who’s the wolf. Peter was not justified as the main lead. His character is not enough to convince me he’s the best for Valerie.

The movie lacks in value. There are a lot of things that disturbed me, immorality, murder, deception and violence.

*** SPOILER ALERT***

  • I can’t accept the fact that Valerie’s mom had an affair with Henry’s dad resulting with the sister of Valerie, Lucy. To make matters worse, Lucy is in love with Henry. It’s incest! Valerie’s mom is also pushing Valerie to marry Henry. It’s like to continue that affair she wasn’t able to complete before.
  • I can’t tolerate the idea that they can kill their family without shuddering. Like it’s a normal thing to do. I think despite the family member is the wolf or knows the identify of the wolf. Killing them is a bit sick.
  • I think the ending is unjust. I hate the fact that Peter turned into a werewolf. The injustice? How come Valerie didn’t kill him? Similar to what she did to her dad. Since Peter would turn into a monster in a matter of time.
  • I hate the violence in the movie, somehow it’s a bit over-detailed. Characters in the story can inflict damage/pain to other people without flinching. It’s a bit heartless and barbaric, honestly.
  • Worse of all, I can’t believe that Valerie didn’t trust Peter. If she’s really in love with him, her heart would know. Thinking that he’s the wolf, she stabbed him. What’s surprising is, how did Peter heal so easily that he was able to save Valerie from the wolf? A lot of loopholes in the movie mainly because of the over-suspense plot.

After watching the movie, my only reaction is “ah okay, it was over”. I didn’t like it at all.

Henry is actually sweet but is a coward, he wasn’t able to redeem himself in the movie. Peter is brave but he’s not sweet. Given that, I’m gearing towards Henry as I’m a sucker for sweet guys.

Tron

[tweetmeme source=”ibethyap”] It’s been some time since Kalvin and I have watched a movie. Most often than not the movies we want are different. I think Pirates of the Caribbean is the only movie we both enjoy. Although, I watched Pirates 3 first before the first two because his family wants to watch it.

Anyway, the plot of Tron was simple. Sam Flynn needs to rescue his dad who was trapped in a video game he designed himself. It’s very futuristic. I like the effects of the movie, somehow it makes you feel like it was really in cyberspace.

But since the plot is super simple, it was a bit dragging. In fact, there were lots of part in the movie where I keep on thinking… “When would this end?” Effects wise, it was super good and realistic. I like the gadgets and the idea of programming. It was super cool. I had problems watching the movie since I have an eye problems. When there’s too much light, I can’t look at the screen at all. It was unbearable for me. If watched in 3D, I’m having a feeling that it would be as painful as Speed Racer. Where there’s too much light.

The ending was super predictable, there was no twist in the story. Love story wise… it was lacking!

Maybe I’m not really fit for these kinds of movie, I think, I’ll stick to my usual stuffs, Harry Potter and Twilight saga.

[tweetmeme source =”ibethyap”] I’m not a regular movie-goer but there are some movies that I don’t miss: Harry Potter and Twilight saga movies. I love both the books and the movies. Harry Potter movies are getting better and better.

The opening of the movie was enough to give you goosebumps, it has the same feel as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire where after watching the Quidditch game, I was left astonished. The Harry Potter humor is still there, from the first movie until now, Ron doesn’t fail to make me laugh. It was nice seeing the cast grew up in the movie. I can still remember the casts in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, they were so cute and now, they are practically adults.

The storyline of this movie is very exciting. I can’t help getting surprised in majority of the scenes.  Warning to people with faint heart, psych yourself before watching the movie or you might get a heart attack! I think it would be more fun to watch this movie in 3D. So that you would feel the action more. I was truly impressed with the effects, it makes you feel that magic and wands really exist.

I like the way they provide more story on the Horcrux. It’s probably the best Harry Potter movie for me. I can’t wait for Part 2. Although I’m getting mixed emotions on watching the Part 2. After all, it would be the last of the Harry Potter series.

After watching the movie, my initial reaction was I want to read Harry Potter from Book 1-7 again. This would probably be my third time to read the book. And I want to visit Universal Studios Orlando for the Harry Potter world.
